Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has said that the planned meeting between Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Governor Alfred Mutua might not have a big impact on Ukambani politics.
Muthama says that he does not have a problem with Kalonzo meeting Governor Mutua.
Muthama says that the meeting between the two is personal and might not help much in regards to Ukambani politics.
"I have no problem with the two meeting to iron out their political differences," he said in an interview with a local daily on Monday.
Muthama who has a frosty relationship with the Machakos Governor said that much needs to be done in bringing the Kamba community together than handshakes and meeting for a cup of tea.
He said that the underlying issues in Ukambani must be solved if the community is serious in its political agenda especially in 2022.
On Saturday, Kalonzo and Governor Mutua met briefly at Governor Kivutha Kibwana's son wedding and agreed to have a cup of tea this week.
Their planned meeting has been lauded with political pundits terming it good news for Ukambani ahead of the 2022 general elections.
Kalonzo and Governor Mutua have declared their interest in the 2022 presidential seat.
