AFC Leopards’ coach has said the team will soon be a feeder to the national team Harambee Stars.
Leopards have managed four wins in a row in the Kenya Premier League, and are currently second, behind league leaders Gor Mahia.
According to Rodolfo Zapata, the team has a huge pool of youngsters, who are very promising and will play a crucial role in the national team.
"The most important thing for any player is a solid foundation, and that is what we are working on. AFC Leopards has the best U-24 local players, they are talented and to be honest they are the future of the national team. Playing with experienced players like Ezekiel Odera, Duncan Otieno, Salim Abdalla, Whyvonne Isuza and Victor Majid will for sure give them much-needed skills,” he said.
The team has good young players, who have shown great potential having played with experienced players. "They are hungry for success and their output can be seen on the pitch, they are doing well," Zapata added as quoted by Goal.
The team picked itself up well after changing coaches, and are a better team compared to their struggles earlier on in the season.
