Former Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe now says that the country should expect more forums to be convened to discuss the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
Already, Nyanza region has held the first consultative forum which was held in Kisii County on Friday, with Western Kenya region scheduled to hold one on Saturday in Kakamega.
Murathe, a said close confidant of President Uhuru, on Sunday said that the forums will continue being held, as per the promise made by Uhuru, a co-founder of the initiative.
However, he rubbished claims that Sh10 billion has been set aside for the popularization of the initiative, terming those spreading such claims as people out to mislead the country.
"The promise by the President to make the BBI report available is being actualised. They will continue to have forums but there will be no Sh10 billion. Those stories are not true," he said.
Speaking in Kisii on Friday, ODM leader Raila Odinga, who is Uhuru's partner in founding the BBI, stated that the forums will even be held in Uhuru's Mt Kenya bedrock.
Earlier, in an interview on Radio Maisha, BBI task force Joint Secretary Adams Oloo too rubbished claims that the team was accplaced Sh10 billion to collect views from Kenyans.
