With Ugenya Member of Parliament (MP) Chris Karan still undecided on whether to head to the Supreme Court to challenge a Court of Appeal decision to uphold the previous ruling nullifying his election, the mood on the ground is already starting to heat up.While warning the former MP David Ochieng' who successfully petitioned his win, Kara has vowed to win back the seat on an ODM party ticket and dared his rival to face him again.

"He started a legal war and that is the path we will follow. We will fight this battle to the end and even if the result of the court still favors him, I will come back to the people and defeat him once and for all," said the Karan as quoted by the Standard.

Ochieng who decamped from ODM to little known Movement for Democracy and Change in the run to the 2017 poll, lost by  narrow margin of less than 400 votes. He, however, bounced back to life following the High Court and Court of Appeal rulings that nullified his rival's win.

With the duo locking horns again, a win for the ODM candidate will no doubt be a major boost for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the run to the next election.
