Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, if his recent political activity is anything to go by, may have withdrawn from Deputy President William Ruto's campaign team.
The outspoken MP who is a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta has of recent not been seen in Ruto's campaign rallies and other project launch events as he frequently did before.
The last time Kuria made an appearance in Ruto's event was on August 11th when he joined the Deputy President in Molo for a fundraiser in aid of Elburgon Secondary School in Nakuru County.
The other last time the two attended the same event was on August 5 when they held a fundraiser at the Christians of PCEA Mathaithi in Mathira, Nyeri County and a similar fundraiser in aid of the Maragwa Education Endowment Fund at Thara Secondary School, Kamahuha on August 3rd.
Since then, the two leaders have never been seen together despite the DP's busy schedule which entails launching development projects and holding fundraisers across the country.
Kuria since January has been a great supporter of the DP calling on Kenyans to support the former Eldoret North MPs' bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
He attended almost all of the DP's events especially in Nairobi, Rift Valley and Central Kenya.
Interestingly, other MPs from Kiambu who have been vocal about the DP's support for 2022 have also gone silent.
They included Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa and nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura.
On Thursday Ruto toured Kiambu County, but none of the MPs was present.
