A probe into the circumstances behind the crashing of the Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302 continues as families of the victims recall their last moments with their loved ones.

 The plane was being flown by Mr Yared Getachew, a Kenyan-born Ethiopian. 

His mother, Dr Rayan Shapi, has painfully recounted the last words he said before he met his tragic death. 

According to the mother, the pilot told her that he was coming home and those were the last words she heard from her before the announcement of the crash.

 ‘‘I am coming to Nairobi. I have forgotten my phone, but we will talk once I get there,” she said, as quoted by the by Daily Nation. 

This was not the first time Getachew was flying the plane before he met the tragic death. 

The crash claimed the lives of 157 passengers who were on board. 

The jet crashed moments after leaving the Addis Ababa Airport on its way to Nairobi. It was revealed that the pilot experienced some difficulties while trying to fly.

 He reportedly wanted to return to Addis Ababa before the incident. The Chinese government has since grounded the operations of Boeng 737 Max in the entire world until a later date.
