Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka will have to reorganize himself to form a formidable team in 2022 to ascend to power.
This is if Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and ODM leader Raila Odinga agree to work together as a running mate and Presidential candidate respectively.
Moi has indicated that he will work with Raila to take over the leadership of this nation upon President Uhuru Kenyatta's retirement.
The duo has kept the country speculating on what the arrangement could be between them.
The push by a section of political leaders from Nyanza and Rift Valley to have the two work together ahead of the 2022 polls increased when Moi visited Raila's political home turf last weekend.
Moi, also Kanu national chairman, gave the clearest sign yet of an arranged umbrella with Raila, saying occupants of Nyanza should give them an opportunity to anticipate how to finish the voyage to Canaan.
He put forth the expression at the home of fallen veteran government official and family companion Elisha Aketch Chieng' in Ndhiwa.
Kalonzo has maintained that he has what it takes to beat any candidate in the race.
He, however, still has a long way to go if at all his words are anything we can go by.
The presence of DP Ruto will also make things tougher for Kalonzo.
