Residents and bodaboda operators of Mabundu in West Mugirango on Monday protested the poor state of roads in the constituency.
The visibly disillusioned operators decried that the roads are now impassable especially due to the heavy rains pounding the area.
They dug huge trenches on the road connecting Mabundu, Nyaisa and Gianchore tea factory as a call for action.
Bodaboda operators said it was wrong for them to suffer yet they have a leader in office who should be addressing their grievances.
"We as the bodaboda operators in this regio want quick action to be taken by our MP Hon Vincent Kemosi, sometimes it does not sound good when we complain every now and then over this same road. We are tired, let him take action to ensure this road is in good condition," said one of the operators only identified as Nyakundi.
"If an action will not be taken then we will take an action personally by digging huge holes and plant bananas for them to know that we are serious about the issue," said Arthur Kenyuri another bodaboda operator.
In a rejoinder, Kemosi asked the constituents to be patient vowing to have the roads repaired.
"I have listened to the concerns of my people in the affected regions and I want to assure them that the road is going to be repaired in due course as the rains reduce," remarked the MP when contacted.
"I know that the tea farmers have been greatly affected and this road is the one that is mainly used to transport tea to Gianchore Tea Factory but let us be patient as we wait for the rains to stop."
