This is after the Jubilee MP said elected leaders in the country will hold a meeting to find the way forward in solving the health workers' strike.

"We don't want our people to continue suffering while the nurses are on strike. As elected leaders from Nyamira we should intervene and help Nyagarama to ensure the workers who boycotted work resume work to continue serving out people," he said.

Nyamoko called on leaders not to boycott the meeting when it shall be announced.

He said the leaders were elected to represent the locals and not only earn monthly salaries.

"We were elected to serve our people. Let us not put the blame on Nyagarama alone for failing to end the health workers' strike.

"It is time we all as leaders put the interest of our people at heart and ensure nurses resume work to treat our people who are struggling to seek health care expensively at private hospitals," he added.

The lawmaker urged MCAs to work around the clock to ensure the residents in their respective areas get proper service delivery.
