Joe Jowie is the Nakuru-born hunk lover to TV news anchor Jacque Maribe.

Jowie is behind bars as the main suspect in the callous murder of Monica Kimani whose body was found dumped at the bathtub in her Kilimani house.

Jowie’s mother painfully narrated the journey she has walked her last born son and how hard the accusations facing him has hit the family.

“We have raised him in the church; he used to sing in the choir. He is a boy I have raised with so much trouble; selling charcoal and milk,” the mother told Okari.

She added: “He would come home, milk the cows and go sell the milk."

With the love of a mother, she went through their family album and showed the journalist pictures of Irungu’s upbringing.

Contrary to the flashy image Jowie painted online, the interview showed a boy who was raised up in a humble background.

“I live in fears here, even when I hear the gate being knocked, I wonder who might come in and what they might do to me. I also feel the pain of Monica’s family, and I want justice to be done,” the mum, whose identity was concealed, said.
