Amid the political salvos fired at Deputy President William Ruto by politicians allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga, the DP has been cautioned against resigning.
His resignation, pundits say, will be suicidal for his 2022 State House bid.
In a press conference on Monday, politicians drawn from ODM and Jubilee Party asked the DP to resign if he is not happy working with President Kenyatta.
However, while cautioning the DP against making such a move, political analyst Dennis Moturi believes that Dr Ruto should stay put in Jubilee and fight for his space from within adding that even if he is to quit, he will have no place to go.
"Ruto doesn't have the option of walking out of Jubilee because he needs power and needs to be in office, probably to earn sympathy because there are people who were why Uhuru will not support him. He will not want to leave because he will have nowhere to go," said the analyst.
DP Ruto allies, however, insist that he will remain in office until his tenure expires in 2022.
