Gor Mahia Football Club made two wins in three matches in the group stage of CAF Confederation Cup after a 2-0 victory against 10-man Hussein Dey of Algeria in a match played at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani on Sunday.

Gor Mahia tactician Hassan Oktay used 4-4-2 playing formation, which payed towards the end of the game. 

His starting lineup was had; 

Boniface Oluoch, Philemon Otieno, Shafiq Batambuze, Charles Momanyi, Harun Shakava, Kenneth Muguna, Franci Kahata, Samuel Onyango, Nicholas Kipkirui, Jacques Tusiyenge.

Dennis Oliech did not feature in Sunday's match over the failure by the club to settle his salary as per their agreement. The club had only paid him Sh100,000 instead of Sh350,000. 

Kahata's late strike; on the 83rd minute and Jacques Tusiyenge on the 88th minute was enough to send Gor Mahia to the top of the group with six points at the moment.

Hussein midfielder Harrag was sent off by the center referee over a second bookable offense.

The players were on Friday motivated by their chairman for reaching the group stage of the competition, with each player awarded Sh100,000.
