A middle-aged woman, Zaidi Hassan was arrested for trying to sell her two children.
Zaidi, who is said to be a Tanzanian national, was seen on Thursday evening making effort in selling her two children the public.
This incident happened in Bondo Town, at a parking lot.
According to passersby and onlookers, Zaidi was selling her one-year-old kid and a four-year-old kid at Sh55,000 and Sh60,000.
She was then reported to the police, who came in and arrested her.
Bondo Sub-County community policing committee chairperson, Juma Abuko, who spoke to the woman revealed that she had claimed that life was hard for her.
Hassan also revealed that she had once 'sold' the children in Kisumu.
She shocked the police when she pointed out that she began her search for her children's buyer in Busia, then Kisumu before moving to Bondo.
She is being held at Bondo Police Station waiting to be arraigned in court on Monday.
Hassan will be charged with violating the children's rights by auctioning them.
