The violence that is being witnessed in the Kibra by-election is precipitated by the fact that ODM has sensed defeat, Kandara MP Alice Wahome has claimed.
Over the weekend, vehicles belonging to Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga were pelted with stones, with Jubilee accusing ODM of sponsoring the violence.
At a rally on Sunday, ODM Director of Elections Junet Mohamed claimed that the violence was instigated by the Jubilee team for sympathy seeking.
"I am told that they stoned their own vehicles so that they can blame us. We refuse to be blackmailed by these losers," he said.
Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, who is leading ODM candidate Imran Okoth's campaigns, was dragged to the violence, a claim he denied.
But Mrs Wahome on Tuesday asked the ODM leader Raila Odinga to withdraw Imran from the race, arguing that the party had sensed defeat.
"The violence we are seeing is instigated by ODM. They have lost the ground and that's why they have resorted to violence. Mariga shall win the seat," she said.
"Let Raila withdraw the candidate if they are not ready to compete. We understand that he has panicked. They are all feeling threatened," she added.
She called for the arrest of Mr Mohamed, who she accused of inciting people during the Sunday's rally at Kibra. Junet asked people to lynch those bribing voters.
Others in the race include Raila's former aide Eliud Owalo of Amani National Congress party and Eng Ramadhan Khamisi of Ford Kenya party.
