Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has been challenged to move with speed to revive the party's lost glory.
This is after the party performed poorly in the Ugenya and Embakasi South by-elections on Friday.
Speaking in Kisii town on Sunday, Kisii county KANU party official Beatrice Moraa said should Raila fail to take action, the party will be no more in 2022.
"ODM candidates lost in Ugenya and Embakasi South not because the party is unpopular. I wish to give Raila a free advise that he should move with speed to kick out some cartels within the party," Moraa said.
She also noted that ODM party need to ensure tickets are issued fairly to contestants failure to which the party will collapse and pointed out that "ODM leadership need to stop selling party tickets to unpopular candidates who won't win votes," she added.
Moraa also insisted that ODM's loss should be a lesson to other political parties. She appealed to aspiring politicians to join KANU party arguing that the party is a national party.
"KANU party is still strong and exists. Locals leaders should consider joining the party where democracy counts," she stated.
