Among them was outspoken Moiben lawmaker Silas Tiren.

However, as Jubilee political division unfolded, Tiren commenced attacks on DP Ruto and his team for what he was terming selfish politics. He was among North Rift leaders who have been in a cold war with the DP for some time alongside Cherangany’s Joshua Kutuny and Nandi Hills’ Alfred Keter.

One does not need political analysis to notice how the then spoken MP has currently gone low with his attacks on DP Ruto’s camp. As far as the 'Tangatanga' and 'Kieleweke' competition is concerned, the lawmaker is currently silent.

This is because he wants to remain relevant to his electorate most of who are DP’s ardent supporters. Besides, most elected leaders from Uasin Gishu are loyal to DP and have openly declared support for the DP’s presidential ambitions.

Part of the reason Tiren is silent is linked to retention of his seat in 2022. He doesn’t want to have a hard time convincing his people to elect him despite having different political ideology from the DP, therefore, he has to swim in the same political waters as his neighbouring legislators.

With the 2022 politics taking the centre stage, it is difficult to go against the DP in Uasin Gishu and win an elective position.

Most of the leaders who have tried that did not manage to stay in the game at the moment including Margaret Kamar in 2013.
