Coast-based Human rights group, Haki Africa, has weighed in on the ongoing tussle over allocation of resources between the national government and the 47 county governments.
Speaking on Tuesday to members of the press, the group's executive director Hussein Khalid called for the speedy resolution of the issues at the centre of the tussle.
Mr Khalid contended that tensions over resources was affecting human rights.
He called on the leaders to engage in dialogue and avoid taking hard stances so that solutions can be found.
Hivi sasa kiini cha hizi haki za kibinaadam kutoweza kupatikana ni yale malumbano yaliyoko baina ya serikali kuu pamoja na serikali za counties pamoja na county assemblies," the Haki Africa executive director said.
(Right now the reason why its difficult to resolve human rights issues stems from the tensions between the national government and county governments).
County governments across the 47 counties have demanded for an increase in the allocation of resources to the county.
The national government has said that it does not have funds to meet the demands of county bosses for an increase.
President Uhuru appealed to governors to accept what had been given to them and work with that.
