Kiambu politician William Kabogo was the first governor of Kiambu. Kabogo was defeated in last year's August 8 election by current Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
However, did you know that the two schooled in the same University? Waititu and Kabogo both went to Punjab University in India.
Many people have been questioning Governor Waititu’s educational qualifications. In 2016, Kabogo filed a case in court challenging the credibility of Waititu’s degree.
In the suit, Kabogo argued that Waititu did not attend secondary school, and further claimed that he was using his brother’s academic papers.
“The name of Ferdinand Waititu is not in on record as a student of B.Com Degree course during the academic sessions 1985-86 to 1987-88. The name of the student having registration No. 85-GC-555 is Clifford Ndung’u Waititu during the academic session 1985-86, 1986-87 and 1987-88 for B.Com through degree course,” read part of Kabogo’s affidavit.
The case was, however, dismissed after the court rules that it had no jurisdiction to rule over the matter.
In 2017 Waititu took Kabogo to court seeking the flamboyant politician to be ordered to offset the Sh50,960,422 he accrued during the case challenging his academic qualifications that was filed in March 2016.
