This comes a day after the Majority Leader of the Senate posted a series of photos on his Twitter account showing him in his farm with different types of crops.

He captioned the photos:

“Moving towards Agriculture diversification as an important mechanism for economic growth. Hoping to do more next year.”

Replying to this post, Mr.Okoth challenged Murkomen to plant marijuana if he wants better profits.

“You would make better profits planting legal marijuana as a cash crop there for medical and export. Diversify seriously. #MarijuanaBill2018,” posted Kenneth Okoth

TThis is not the first time Mr.Okoth want marijuana planted in Kenya as a legal plant.

On Friday September 21, 2018, he wrote a letter to the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi arguing him to legalise bhang.

“The proposed Bill seeks to ensure that there is regulation for growth and safe use of marijuana and hemp including the registration of growers of growers, producers, manufacturers and users with special focus on protection of children/minors from illicit use just as we do with tobacco and alcohol,” reads part of the letter Mr.Okoth wrote.
