With the family having settled on cremation, there are still wrangles especially from his father's relatives, who believe that he should be buried at Rangwe.

On Wednesday, Raila said after Starehe Boys function, Okoth's body shall on Thursday be taken to Moi Girls Kibra and on Saturday, there will be another service at Kabondo Kasipul.

"Party Leader @RailaOdinga announces that there will be a funeral service for the late Hon. Ken Okoth of Kibra as well as public viewing at Moi Girls Schl Kibera tomorrow (Thur 1st). The body will be flown to Kabondo Kasipul on Saturday for another funeral service before disposal," said the party.

At Rangwe, Okoth's extended family, through his half-brother Alfred Obonyo, said they demanded that the MP is interred at Rangwe, where his father Nicholas Obonyo was buried.

"Right now, by the fact that my father is not there, I am acting in full capacity on his behalf. What we are doing here, is a replica of what he could have done.

"His wish, is that his late son Ken Okoth to be brought up home and be buried next to him. We are not requesting Mama Ken, we are demanding. My father took some dowry to their place. My brother must be brought home and be buried here," he said.

The Homa Bay service will coincide with actual burial of Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso, which will take place at Koru, not far from Kadongo.
