Activist Miguna Miguna now says that the handshake has been completely useless to Raila Odinga's supporters.
In a Facebook on Saturday, the former Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful maintained that the truce between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the ODM leader has not addressed its main intention, and is therefore irrelevant.
He said that it has not been of any help to Raila's Luo Nyanza bedrock, adding that none of the promised development initiatives and other goodies has been seen so far.
Miguna noted that the handshake's only benefit was Uhuru's December 2018 tour of Kisumu and Siaya counties, which he added does not cure the region's ailments.
"The only 'benefit' that Nyanza residents have reaped out of the Uhuru Kenyatta-Raila Odinga handcheque was the silly tour of Kisumu and Raila's Bondo home," he wrote on Facebook.
The lawyer added that Uhuru is yet to keep his part of the bargain, as lack of employment and development continues to trouble the region despite Raila's closeness to the president.
He also bashed the two for now taking the nation towards the Huduma Namba direction, noting that the number will not change anything.
"Uhuru Kenyatta has not apologized for stealing elections and killing NASA supporters. No jobs, no food security no development. The people cannot eat Huduma Namba," insisted the controversial barister.
