Last month, MCAs initiated an impeachment motion against Public Service Management minister Bernard Osumo,m over alleged abuse of office and gross misconduct.

A notice from office of Speaker Moffat Teya indicated that motion for Mrs Momanyi's impeachment will be tabled on Monday in a special sitting. The sitting will also discuss supplementary budget.

While the mover of the motion remains anonymous, sources intimate that Bomwagamo MCA Charles Barongo will be initiating the removal process.

"I am not aware of the impeachment. I am just getting it from you for the first time. Let's just wait and see how it goes. However, I have done nothing wrong," she said in an interview.

The career minister added: "Those claiming that I diverted funds are lying to the public. The bursary funds are yet to be released. We are waiting for approval from the Controller of Budget."

The predicaments facing Governor John Nyagarama's administration comes at the time the county boss is facing hard times in getting rid of over 1000 people who are believed to have been irregularly employed.

Last week, the county boss vowed to proceed with his decision to terminate the employment of the affected individuals. Until now, the affected parties are yet to receive April salaries.
