The alliance, which political pundits say will give DP Ruto a run for his money fronted Dr. Matiang’i for president and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi as his deputy.

Speaking in Matutu in Borabu Constituency on Wednesday, the Borabu Member of Parliament Ben Momanyi confirmed the existence of the alliance and that he exuded confidence that they will make the next government come 2022.

He said that once the BBI report is adopted, the alliance which will comprise of a women prime minister will carry the day.

“Let me tell you as your leader from Borabu today that a time for our tribe to lead the nation has come, the report (BBI) is coming and we must let it go through so that the alliance (super six) led by our son Dr Matiang’i can have a chance to lead the nation. We as the Gusii community need to come together to support our own so as we don’t miss out in the next government”, he said.

Momanyi said that time had come for a different tribe to lead the nation in the spirit of the handshake report.

“We have only been led by two communities since independence, that we cannot have a president from any other community? This is the time to try Dr. Matiang’i because he has shown to the world that he is capable of leading this nation”, he added.

Earlier on speaking in his West Mugirango constituency Wednesday, M.P Vincent Kemosi dismissed the alliance saying the only person who will win the presidency in 2022 was William Ruto.

He added that he would only support a leader who has shown interest in serving the citizens and the Gusii community.

“My stand is that am ready to work with a leader who has the community at heart and that who is helping our Gusii community, that is the leader I will work with, And that person is William Ruto and am working with him to see that our people have received development before we approach next elections," said Kemosi.

In this year alone, the Deputy President has made over 10 trips in the expansive Gusii region to marshal support ahead of 2022.

CS Matiangi has not made public his political movement in the next general elections but the writings could be well written on the wall as he has hit a section of politicians publicly recently for undermining the president.

In the alliance, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Mumbi is also proposed to take the prime minister docket as Trade CS Peter Munya and Mombasa Governor Ali Joho as her prospective deputies. Former vice president and Wiper Party leader will be either Nairobi governor or National assembly speaker. This alliance, Momanyi said to represent the national image.
