Jakakimba, a personal assistant of Raila, refuted claims by Prof Edward Kisiang'ani that Raila has buried political careers of many.

According to him, Raila resuscitated political careers of Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.

Further, he said, Raila brought into limelight a host of politicians among them former Funyula MP Dr Paul Otuoma, who has since quit ODM.

"@RailaOdinga is on record to have, at different windows, resuscitated the dwindling political lifelines of @MusaliaMudavadi , @Wetangulam : created @HonOtuoma and of course Wafula Buke remains a/ his Comrade in the struggle for a more equal Nation. Shida yako ni nini?" he remarked.

Raila had on Thursday met a host of Luhya leaders following an invitation by COTU boss Francis Atwoli.

Kisiang'ani, who has been critical of Raila, had dismissed the gathering, accusing Raila of betraying many politicians.

"I did not attend the Butere meeting but had I gone I wud have reminded RAO he was feasting in a land he has created most political casualties including former VP Wamalwa, Weta, Musalia, Namwamba, Buke , Otwoma, Boni etc. Which Luhyia leader has similar casualties in Nyanza?" he tweeted.
