Detectives probing the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno have summoned Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s wife.
Helen Obado is expected to appear before sleuths today, Wednesday, after a new development that linked her to the elimination of the student.
According to sources, the discovery of a car believed to have been used in the abduction of the girl and eventual murder placed Hellen at the centre of the matter.
The car is a Toyota Fielder KCL 481K.
The car is said to belong to Olivia Oloo who is wife to Caspal Obiero, a Personal Assistant to Governor Obado.
The vehicle’s driver Jackson Gombe is already in police custody.
Also, another lead that has made Hellen Obado a key person in the investigations is a communication between her and the slain girl which detectives have unearthed.
Helen’s brother, identified as Naftali Odie, has also been earmarked by investigators as a figure of interest in the probe.
A source at the DCI said they are building a watertight probe that will see a gang of four killers, believed to have been hired ‘to do the job’, arrested.
