This comes shortly after the “Hallelujah’ hitmaker pulled a publicity stunt on Instagram where he claimed Jamaican songstress Alaine had blocked him.

The 1 million followers on Instagram makes Willy Paul the second most popular Kenyan Gospel artist after his main rival Bahati who has 1.5 million followers. 

His new song ‘Shadomado’ featuring Jamaican singer Alaine and the publicity stunt he pulled just before releasing the song seems to be the two vital factors that enabled him to cross the 1 million followers mark. 

Willy Paul is also one of the most sought after Kenyan artist on YouTube where he is the second most popular with 309,437 subscribers. 

Sauti Sol with whom Willy Paul once collaborated on a song titled ‘Take I Slow’ hold the first place with 321,282 subscribers. Willy Paul’s rival Bahati is nowhere near the ‘Sitolia’ singer as he has 169,246 subscribers. 

The latest achievement of Willy Paul who is also the manager of Saldido international records will definitely play a huge role in his career as the number of one's followers on social media determines how influential he is when it comes to the showbiz industry.
