Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has predicted doom for Kibra MP aspirant on the Jubilee Party ticket McDonald Mariga.
Mariga is considered among the frontrunners in the race, which also includes among others, Imran Okoth of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Ford Kenya's Khamisi Butichi.
But speaking on Wednesday, Passaris, an ODM member, laughed off the crowds Mariga has been pulling in his campaigns, predicting a terrible loss for him in the Novmever mini poll.
She foresaw that the soccer star will actually not be anywhere near the victory, but will.most likely appear a distant third, with Imran being the winner.
She claimed that similarly, Amani National Congress (ANC) candidate is also a project of the Tangatanga brigade, a group of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto.
"Mariga will be a distant third, Owalo pia ni project wa Tangatanga (Owalo is also a Tangatanga project)," she said on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi, Wednesday night.
She claimed that Mariga is an outsider being forced on the people of Kibra, which she observed is the main reason why he will fall face down in the by-election.
"Mariga will fall because he is not a Kibra resident, he has just been placed there but not because he has leadership qualities. Let Tangatanga know that they will fall face down (Mariga ataanguka kwa sababu yeye si mkazi wa Kibra, amewekwa tu pale lakini si kwa sababu ako na uongozi. Tangatanga wajue wataanguka face down)," he added.
