Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has lamented over the manner in which the allies of Deputy President William Ruto were treated during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
Speaking on Saturday during an empowerment programme of the Lari Constituency Development Fund (CDF) beneficiaries, Kiambu County, he the programme at the BBI launch was meant to humiliate DP Ruto allies.
"We were humiliated at Bomas of Kenya. We are the ones who won the election as Jubilee. We sat there waiting to clap for those we defeated. Our work was to clap yet those we defeated were talking," charged the MP.
He added: "How come the people we defeated, we chased Raila with ODM, we have called a meeting and he ones we floored are given the chance to speak as we clap for them? Have we gotten here?
"(Tuliona madharau pale Bomas of Kenya. Si mliona? Sisi ndio tulioshinda uchaguzi kama Jubilee. Tuko pale tumekaa chini. Wale tuliwashinda wanapea nafasi waongee kazi yetu ni kupiga makofi.Itakuwaje wale watu tulishinda tukafukuza Raila na ODM, tumeitwa mkutano eti wale tulishinda waongee tukiwapigia makofi? Tumefika hapo?)
Gachagua said that in future, he will not attend any other such meeting.
During the BBI launch, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen hit out at Suna East MP Junet Mohamed who was running the ceremony citing that his programme was skewed.
His tirade resulted in booing by some of the delegates at the Bomas of Kenya.
