Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket has cautioned President Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner ODM leader Raila Odinga against allowing Tanga Tanga group to join Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) rallies.
Likening BBI to a baby, Kamket accused Tanga Tanga, which is allied to Deputy President William Ruto, of an attempt to kill it when it was still an infant.
The vocal MP, who is a close ally of Baringo Senator and KANU chairman Gideon Moi, asked Uhuru and Raila not to let DP allies come close to the 'baby' since they still harbour the ill plan of eliminating it.
"To H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta and Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga and co.... do not allow the person who wanted to kill the baby (BBI) in the womb get anywhere near the infant baby. Coz he’ll definitely kill it," Kamket tweeted.
In a press conference on Tuesday, the Tanga Tanga faction led by Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen said they will be attending BBI rallies and 'taking charge where necessary'.
He said the last two meetings in Kisii and Kakamega did not capture the spirit of the BBI report, claiming they were turned into political and name-calling events.
“To our utter disappointment, at recent public rallies in Kisii and Kakamega leaders resorted to the very callous tactics rejected by the BBI report, backsliding into the reviled old order that Kenyans are running away from,” Murkomen said.
