Speaking on Saturday at the Tulia market,  during a thanksgiving event for Mutonguni Ward MCA Musee Mati, Mutua said that it is evident that Ruto and Uhuru are not speaking the same language.

He divulged that Ruto has let his Presidential ambition to override his duties as the second in command.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader said that Ruto has been on the forefront questioning the handshake between Uhuru and Raila, which amounts to intimidation.

He has asked the DP to leave office so that Uhuru can complete his term in peace.

"Ruto is clearly undermining the president and this sends a very bad signal. He should do the honorable thing and resign" Mutua said, as quoted by Standard.

The county boss also said that he is ready to join hands with other leaders from different parts of the country to redeem its lost glory.

He also hinted at forming an alliance with leaders from other parts of the nation before 2022.

"We are joining hands with like-minded people to redeem the country. The future is bright" Mutua said.

The governor has expressed interest in vying for the presidency in 2022 and has on several occasions said that he is the best candidate to succeed President Kenyatta upon the end of his tenure.
