ODM Leader Raila Amolo Odinga has said that he does not address the issues affecting the Jubilee Party whenever he meets President Uhuru Kenyatta.Speaking during an interview with NTV on Sunday, Raila said that he enjoys a cordial relationship with the President, adding that they do not talk about the affairs of their political affiliations. The leader of the opposition insisted that he is out to unite the country with the President and not talk about non-issues such as the wrangles within the Jubilee Party as projected.
"I don't discuss issues of Jubilee with the president," he said.
He also revisited the handshake between him and Uhuru, saying that there are good Samaritans who approached him before he decided to make a U-turn on the matter. He also revealed that he gave President Kenyatta some conditions and they were met before he agreed to bury his differences with him."Some good samaritans spoke to me and I gave them my conditions. Ultimately the conditions were met and we (Uhuru and Raila) talked," he said.
Raila also re-affirmed that he is dedicated to make Kenya a better place after the handshake with the President, adding that Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is meant to transform lives of millions in the country.
