The former Bomet Governor said that the officers used a lot of force when capturing Sonko.

"Sonko was manhandled. There was crude use of force," he added.

This comes after Governor Sonko released a statement narrating how he has been summoned by the DPP four times and he did not fail to avail himself.

Therefore, he relates the actions of his arrest to be politically masterminded. However, he has encouraged his supporters to stay calm.

The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has said that he has enough evidence against Sonko with his accomplices over the embezzlement of Sh357 million shillings.
