Intrigues withing the ruling Jubilee party seems to be escalating after reports emerged on social media that DP William Ruto could be plotting an impeachment against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Before Friday's State House meeting between the duo, renowned blogger Abraham Mutai claimed that Uhuru aborted his AU trip in Mauritania to 'cool' escalating tensions in Jubilee."Uhuru skipped AU meeting today just because Ruto is plotting this impeach him. He could not be away for two weeks yet Raila Odinga is also away." he said.So vicious have been wrangles within Jubilee that even Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has openly accused Uhuru's camp of undermining Ruto.But South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, who also doubles as Ruto's main pointsman from Nyamira and Kisii Counties, has dismissed the claims as hot air."There could be minor differences but they have not escalated to that level." Some people are working to had to create crisis which is not even there. The DP has more important things to do than those impeachment plans," he said.Similarly, a report by a London based organization also indicates that Uhuru's team could be plotting to evict Ruto over graft.While details of the meeting between the two principals remain scanty, they will however meet on Tuesday for Jubilee PG to iron out their differences.
