Wazito went into the game without new signing Whyvone Isuza while Ulinzi tactician Benjamin Nyangweso reshuffled his side and gave left back Ali Swaleh his season's debut.

Ulinzi scored the lone goal of the match at the 42nd minute thanks to a strike from Oscar Wamalwa.

In the second half, Wazito camped at Ulinzi's goal but were unable to score an equaliser.

Speaking after the match, Nyangweso said he was excited  by the win since the league is getting tougher after every match.

"I'm happy for the victory, knowing KPL is getting tougher every day."

On his part, Wazito Coach Stewart Hall said he is still working on his winning formula, more so the striking force.

Following the win, Ulinzi are fourth on the KPL table with 31 points.
