Political commentator Tom Nduko has faulted Deputy President William Ruto over his latest actions.
The DP has been under criticism regarding his recent attacks on Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju who he accused of being an opposition strategist.
Speaking on Wednesday, the analyst observed that the DP's actions point at a politically immature person who is growing desperate by the day, regarding his presidential ambitions.
He said that if the former Rarieda MP is indeed working with opposition boss Raila Odinga, then it is time the DP accepted that such is expected in the political arena and was bound to happen.
According to Nduko, it is very immature for Ruto to expect everybody within the Jubilee party to support his 2022 bid, adding that the DP needs to come to terms with the fact that some will not.
"I think the deputy president needs to be a real deputy president. He is going for the presidency but needs to mature and know that not everybody wants him to be," he said.
Nduko who doubles up as an American-trained security expert made the remarks during an interview on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation show on Wednesday morning.
He stressed on the need for Ruto to elevate his status before Kenyans, noting that he is currently coming out as a reckless talker and perennial complainer, which might cost him.
According to Nduko, Ruto's victory in the much anticipated race lies in his demonstration that he is the best man for the job, which he can only prove by "working more and talking less".
"If I was him I would keep quiet, work more, see more and talk less," said Nduko, who noted that Ruto's rant also came amid his allies calls for Tuju's resignation, further raising eyebrows.
"When you speak after some people, after your allies, it means you had planned," he added.
Ruto's allies have since doubled the pressure on Tuju to leave the position on grounds that he is undermining Ruto and his 2022 plans.
