Polite, God fearing and most listening he is but most critics of Governor John Nyagarama think otherwise even as supremacy battles with Speaker Moffat Teya escalated on Thursday.

Irked by the speaker's position on itemised budget, Nyagarama retreated to his home with ODM MCAs where they reportedly discussed possible impeachment of the speaker.

"I am sure the governor is not interested in fighting the speaker. However, I am sure the speaker's war with former deputy Duke Omoti will be messy.

"We shall even have some nominated MCAs being hounded out of office so as the leader of majority Duke Masira," said one of the governor's communication team officer.

But a section of Nyamira residents took the war at the governor's doorstep, accusing him of sabotage and hypocrisy, with some suspecting his adherence to church teachings.

"The governor is a crook. He just doesn't want those who mean well for the county. He wants the speaker out just because he is not singing to his tune," said Nelson Osiemo.

Another user in Borabu Watchtowers Sam Omosa added: "Nyagarama is a criminal. He pretends to be doing the right thing but in essence, he's just cooking things against the law."

His deputy Amos Nyaribo, who is still in India for medication, recently cried foul over the MOU which they signed together on power sharing.

While the matter is at the Registrar of Political Parties and court, Nyagarama maintains that he owes his deputy nothing.

"I am working for the people of Nyamira. If the MOU existed or not, it's none of my concerns at the moment."

Besides the grand graft that he's allegedly overseeing, critics also accuse him of recruiting his clansmen and family, a claim that can be partially confirmed.

But in a past radio interview, a stubborn Nyagarama wondered where the residents wanted him to employ his children.

"My children were born in Nyamira. They are educated just like other people. Where do you want me to take them? he responded, even as he recruited one of his son, Momanyi Nyagarama as Director Public Administration.
