Barely a week after attending the funeral of his longtime friend Kofi Annan, ODM leader Raila Odinga's was yet hit again with tragedy.
For the better part of Sunday, Raila visited former powerful minister Isaac Okero, who had lost his wife Margaret.
The Odinga's hot and cold relationship with Omoro dates back to late 70s when tussling for Luo Nyanza leadership.
"I spent time this afternoon with Mr Isaac Omolo Okero following the death of his wife Mama Jane Margaret Omolo Okero.
"Mr Okero has been a family friend for decades dating back to when my father was a teacher at the Veterinary College while Isaac was a student at Maseno School," Odinga wrote.
In a Sunday Nation article, Journalist Kamau Ngotho recalled how Okero was positioned by Charles Njonjo for KANU chairmanship which Raila's father was too interested in.
But Jaramogi Oginga Odinga would later reconcile with Okero during the advent of multiparty democracy.
