The house on Thursday convened a special sitting to consider the proposal by President Uhuru Kenyatta, with the proposal being approved, despite being opposed by the majority members.

Speaking on Radio Jambo’s ‘Mazungumzo Waziwazi’ later at night, the youthful lawmaker who stood against the increment termed it as an extra burden on Kenyans who are already grappling with heavy taxation.

He further questioned the controversy surrounding the passage of the proposal, including the forceful allocation of victory to the minority side by acting Speaker Soipan Tuiya, terming it a rape on democracy.

‘’Kilichofanyika bungeni leo ni ubakaji wa democrasia ya Kenya (what we saw in parliament today was a rape on our democracy),’’ said the first time parliamentarian.

He also claimed to have as well captured more controversies in the house, which he will soon release out to the public in form of an expose.

Ali added that the expose will be out very soon, to enlighten Kenyans on some of the hidden dealings happening within the legislative house.

‘’Jicho Pevu la kwanza bungeni liko jikoni na karibu nitalipakua. Kimya kina mshindo (something will soon be coming out in form of an expose, my silence has a meaning),’’ he noted on Thursday.
