Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has again warned Nairobians against conmen using motorbike project to steal money from them.
In a video posted on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, the county boss has asked residents not to pay anyone.
"BE AWARE OF CONMEN USING MOTORBIKE PROJECTS! And employment opportunity! CONMEN! CONMEN! CONMEN! Don't Pay Anything," he said in a post on Facebook.
In an undated video, Sonko also warned Kenyans all over the country against sending money to people who claim to be motorbike sellers.
"Sonko is not giving motorbikes to anyone. If someone sends you a motorbike, report them to the police, don't send money. If I am helping, I give help to residents for free without asking for payments. (Sonko hapeani piki piki kwa mtu yeyote. Mtu akikutumia piki piki unarepoti kwa police, usitume pesa. Kama mimi napeana msaada, napeana msaada kwa wananchi bure bila kuitisha pesa)," he said in a video also shared on Facebook.
This is not the first time the county boss has come out to warn people against thieves using his name.
He has always maintained that he doesn't ask for money from anyone to offer them help.
