Emerging details indicate that things might not be fine at two-time Olympic 800-metre champion David Lekuta Rudisha's home, following an alarming post by his wife.
This comes at a time when the sprinter has been missing in action and missed quite a number of games, as he has been out for two seasons, reportedly nursing a quad muscle strain.
In a post on social media on Wednesday, the wife gave an alarming statement, suggesting that the celebrated runner who last competed in 2017, has been frustrating his family.
"David Lekuta Rudisha real stop frustrating me with my kids. To my family, my heart is heavy I can’t hold any more. I love u all," she wrote as was seen by the Standard.
Regarding his disappearance from the tracks, Rudisha's agent Mitchel Boeting said that the letter is still nursing the injury and might not be running until next season.
"David might not compete this season. The injury healed and reoccurred. He will be late for the season and I think he will be back next season. We expect that all will be well for him,” the Dutchman is quoted as having said in Amsterdam.
He, however, remained mum on Rudisha's family issues, denying even seeing the post in the first place.
"I cannot comment on their family matters. I have not even known about the post," added Boeting.
