Bongo Flavor star Diamond Platnumz has emerged to be one of the most loved and celebrated artists in not just East Africa region but Africa as a whole.
In East Africa, Diamond has been walking around with at least four bodyguards who have well-built muscles.
This has been sparking criticisms with some people saying the 'Baba Lao' hitmaker has been exaggerating his safety concerns.
However, it is clear Diamond needs even more than just four security men for his safety.
This was shown when the singer toured Free Town in Sierra Leone.
Diamond has been in Sierra Leone since Friday and based on a number of videos he has shared on his social media platforms, the singer is not safe in his supporters' hands if he will show up without enough security.
In some videos, supporters would overpower the security team and dart to the singer from all directions, leaving him somehow surprised.
In other videos, some of the supporters were hitting his car windows with an urge of setting their eyes on him.
All in all, Diamond is happy for this special reception in Freetown. He noted that it is a proof Bongo music has been accepted all over Africa.
"Thank you Tanzania, thank you fans, thanks to the media, artists and all Bongo Flavor supporters, for sure we can celebrate and say our music has made it. (Asante Tanzania, Asante Mashariki, Asante Media zote, Wasanii, Mashabiki na Wadau wote wa Muzki wetu....hakika sasa tunajivunia kusema Muziki wetu Umepenya!!!)," he noted in an Instagram post.
Diamond is now trending with his new hit song 'Sound'.
