Residents of Muniu village in Naivasha were shocked to discover the body of a man dumped along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road.
Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru who confirmed the incident said they were informed by members of the public who found the body of the middle-aged man.
Waweru said the officers are still trying to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of the man whose identity was yet to be revealed.
The OCPD said they suspect the man was murdered elsewhere then the killers ferried the body to the scene.
According to Waweru, the deceased did not have any identification documents on him when they went to collect the body.
The body was taken to Naivasha mortuary as investigations into the incident have been launched by the police.
“We were informed about a body that had been dumped off the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road and we have started the process of identification,” he told Standard.
The latest incident brings to nine the number of people who have been murdered in unclear circumstances and the bodies dumped along various roads in Naivasha in the last three months.
