Equity bank – Limuru on Monday flagged off eight students to go join the Equity Africa Leaders Program 2015.

The eight students were candidates of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2014 class who scored A – (minus) and above.

Equity bank – Limuru branch manager Isaac Mwaura said the bank was committed in helping the needy and bright students in the country achieve their dreams, and become great leaders in the country, continent and world.

“We will flag off eight students from Limuru constituency to join the Equity Africa Leaders Program, with the top girl from the area having scored an A of 84 from Loreto Girls School and the top boy from Ngenia Boys scored 79 points,” said Mwaura.

In a colourful event held in Limuru, the eight were recognized for their hardwork and focus in their education.

“We are proud of these eight students and their performance. They were in our Equity Wings to Fly having scored very well in primary school and received the bank’s support throughout high school, and we are happy of their progressive outstanding performance four years later,” said Mwaura.

The function was graced by area MP John Kiragu who urged the locals to promote education by telling children to work hard and also awarding them when they did well.
