Over 800 junior learners have been visiting the Kenya National Library services in Nakuru county every day over the December long holiday, a librarian at the facility said on Wednesday.
Purity Mutuku said the 800 learners is an addition to the over 1,000 adults who have been spending several hours in the library daily to study, research and make notes.
She said the modern facility in the county has a capacity to accommodate more learners during the holidays.
She said they have programs that boost concentration for children with attention issues who are visiting the facility.
“Those visiting the library are free to access revision materials, research books among other learning materials. No one is denied entry to the library as long he or she doesn’t violate the rules set in the facility,” she noted.
She said over holidays, more learners visit the library unlike when there is no holiday.
She challenged school going children to visit the library because there are more learning materials in the library.
