Trade and Industrialization CS Peter Munya will host KANU leader Gideon Moi at Mt Kenya amid DP William Ruto's increased trips to the region.
Although the dates are yet to be confirmed, KANU youth chairman Kipchumba Rono said the two will tour the expensive region in coming days.
Both Gideon Moi and Munya do not see eye to eye with Dr Ruto, who has however never treated them as his worthy competitors ahead of 2022 polls.
"Siasa safi. Dr. Gideon Moi to visit Meru County soon and the host will be CS Peter Munya. Next KYC Jukwaa Talks itakuwa Mombasa kwa 001 next month," said Rono, a close confidant of Moi.
Although Moi has announced his bid, he has however, limited his movements to Rift Valley region, his own backyard. Dr Ruto also comes from Rift Valley.
On Sunday, Ruto pitched tent at Munya's backyard in Meru, where he announced his preparedness to face ODM leader Raila Odinga in 2022 polls.
“I want to tell him (Mr Odinga) that I am not worried about competing him but I want him to reassure Kenyans that he will not cause chaos,” Dr Ruto said.
“Those who don’t believe in God and are the persecutors of Christianity, they will not defeat God’s work,” the DP added.
Meru Senator Mithika Linturi and MPs Mugambi Rindiki (Buuri), Halima Mucheke (nominated), Charity Kathambi (Njoro), Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira), Catherine Waruguru (Laikipia) and Jayne Kihara (Naivasha) said Mr Odinga had infiltrated Jubilee after the handshake.
Other MPs who warned that the party would face problems if it does not put its house in order were MPs John Paul Mwirigi (Igembe South), Gichunge Kabeabea (Tigania East) and Mr John Muchiri of Manyatta.
