A section of youth leaders from Amani National Congress (ANC) has shifted their support from Eliud Owalo to McDonald Mariga ahead of next week's by-election in Kibra.
In a tweet, on Wednesday, former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale welcomed 200 ANC youth leaders in Kibra to Mariga's team.
"Together with Hon Njagwa (Starehe) & @DidmusWaBarasa (Kimilili) received 200 @anc_party Kibra youth leaders into Team-Mariga-4-Kibra. Congratulations young people for choosing the better option," he tweeted.
Khalwale is one of the Jubilee leaders drumming support for Mariga ahead of the by-election slated for November 7.
Mariga will battle it out with Owalo of the Mudavidi's led-ANC party, ODM's Benard Imran Okoth, Butichi Khamisi (Ford Kenya) among others.
Kibra parliamentary seat became vacant after former MP Ken Okoth succumbed to cancer in July 2019.
