Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has now dared Deputy President William Ruto to face him personally instead of using his allies.
Speaking when he accompanied Irshad Sumra after he presented his nomination papers to the IEBC ahead of the Embakasi South seat by-election, Joho said that DP Ruto is not ready for confrontation.
He alleged that the second in command has been using his proxies to fight him but the attempts will not work. He also said that the DP is the most corrupt politician he has ever known.
..“I cannot exchange words with the people I don’t know. I know they have been sent by their master William Ruto. What I can say is you (William Ruto) stop sending your proxies. Speak out yourself. Have you heard? What those people are saying they do not know,” said Joho.
The second-term governor has already written to Interpol to address claims that he is involved in drug trafficking. Joho insists that he is not involved in the illegal business.
He has asked leaders linking him to the trafficking of drugs to apologise to him before he seeks legal redress over the same.
