Political analyst Edward Kisiang'ani has poked holes in the alleged plot to impeach President Uhuru Kenyatta before 2022. In a series of tweets, the analyst said that the claims are misleading and untrue. He lashed out at Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for spreading rumours that the allies of Deputy President William Ruto retreated to Naivasha to hatch a plot to remove Uhuru from power.
He noted that the claims have no basis at all, adding that the leaders have resolved to underhand tactics to finish Ruto as he seeks to ascend to power in 2022.
"The notion being peddled by ODM politicians that some Jubilee politicians are plotting to impeach President Uhuru is false and empty! But assuming that was true, why would the plot worry a rival party- ODM- that purports to be interested in taking power in 2022?" he tweeted.
He also aid that the ODM party feels it is more aggrieved that there is a scheme to remove Uhuru from the seat when they were against him in 2017. He wondered whether ODM has joined Jubilee without the knowledge of the public.
"What is the exact identity of this ODM political party if it now feels more aggrieved than Jubilee itself that some Jubilee leaders could be 'plotting' to impeach their own leader-Uhuru Kenyatta? Or did ODM dissolve into Jubilee without officially informing the public?" he added.
