Speaking on Radio Citizen Wednesday morning, Central Member of Parliament Moses Kirima echoed earlier remarks made by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.

Kirima noted that though yet to fully emerge, the disquiet and possible fallout between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto’s quarters can largely be attributed to Uhuru’s truce with opposition leader Raila Odinga.

‘’Jubilee, vile iko, ni kama kuna shida. Kuna mambo, lakini hayajajitokeza kikamilifu (there seems to be a problem which is, however, yet to be fully revealed),’’ said the lawmaker.

He, however, maintained that the side will overcome its current woes to remain united, stating that the March 9 reconciliation which was later dubbed the 'golden handshake' has thrown the party into confusion.

‘’Kuna wasiopendezwa na handshake. Handshake imeleta mchanganyiko maana hapo mbeleni tulijua adui yetu kisiasa ni nani lakini sasa hilo halipo lakini mwishowe tutabaki pamoja(a section of the party is displeased with the handshake which has as well brought confusion into the party but we will beat all odds to remain together),’’ he added.

In his revelation on Sunday, Murkomen claimed that individuals close to the President have kicked off a secret campaign to separate him from Ruto, in an attempt to paralyze Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
