Former Tharaka Nithi Governor Samwel Ragwa has announced his political comeback before 2022.
The politician has now said that he will be contesting for the senatorial seat in 2022.
Ragwa, who is a former administrator at Chogoria Mission Hospital, said that he understands the problems the residents of the region have been facing in the past, adding that he is still among the best leaders they have in the region because of his performance track record.
“I have seen that many people want to be governor. I have decided to let them be governor and get to know how it feels. But because now I have experience and exposure and I understand where the money from counties comes from, I want to unify the county as senator,” he said.
Ragwa went ahead to dispel speculations going round the county that he is planning to unseat the incumbent county boss after he lost in the last general election.
He noted that the governor’s seat has already attracted a series of candidates, adding that he is ready to put the next governor on toes for better service provision in the area in the next term of leadership.
The ex-governor now has an uphill task to convince the voters to stand with him in his quest for senatorship.
